Hi, all. Just a quick note that filming for the "Karaoke King Show - LIVE" has been delayed for the holidays. Also, the "Karaoke King Show" will not air next Wednesday night as scheduled, again due to the Thanksgiving Holidays. Apparently a lot of people are celebrating early, huh? Today I want to talk about the Karaoke King Show itself: how is it different from any other karaoke? What do we mean when we say 50,000+ viewers watch this event? Where does this audience come from, how do they tune in, and most importantly, what do they say about Bakersfield Karaoke?

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
This little show in Bakersfield, California is the only one to broadcast live over the Internet. We stream video of the singers through a host called "Stickam", who in turn broadcasts it. Anyone can log into Stickam and watch, it's free and easy to use; but the easiest way to access our show is to come through this web site, KaraokeKingShow.com. Just click on the image to activate the chat feature and you're in touch with people from all over the world.

WHO'S WATCHING?
There are 50,000+ viewers a night who are watching the live broadcast from all over the world. There are television shows who don't get that kind of viewership! They come from everywhere; the United States, Australia, Denmark, Iraq, UK and Sweden. Some are stationed overseas and tune in just for a little taste of home; others are right here in Bakersfield watching someone they love. What they share is an appreciation of musical talent sprinkled with the occasional quintessential drunken karaoke.

Last night was our first night at B Ryder's on White Lane, where we had a great time! Now that we're good to go, we're hosting a special VIP Kickoff Party! All of our Karaoke Friends are invited to join us on Tuesday, August 12th starting at 9pm. Joe Cannon, the winner of the plane tickets to American Idol Auditions, will try his luck August 13th in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was originally going to the Kansas City auditions slated for this Friday, but our sponsor, Express Jet, was SOLD OUT due to an overload of American Idol hopefuls. Instead, Joe will embark on a 2-day travel to Jacksonville, Florida next week.

Happy Saturday, everyone! We're excited to tell you that we were able to restore some of the missing videos from Club Odyssey last Wednesday. If you weren't able to find a performance video, click here and see if we have it now - the technicians were able to restore 10 missing videos from the library.
